How Do Package Cooling Towers Work?
- Water Flow: Warm water from the process equipment is pumped into the cooling tower.
- Water Distribution: The water is distributed over the tower's fill media, which is designed to maximize surface area for heat exchange.
- Evaporative Cooling: As the water flows over the fill, it comes into contact with the ambient air. A portion of the water evaporates, absorbing heat from the remaining water and lowering its temperature.
