A cooling tower fan stack is often referred to as a cooling tower fan shroud or a cooling tower fan cylinder. The fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP) Fan Stack is an important part of the cooling tower system. In the cooling tower industry, a "fan stack" includes three key parts that guide airflow.

  • Fan bell (or bell inlet): This is the air inlet where air enters the system.
  • Fan casing: Also called the fan cylinder, fan shroud, or fan ring, this is the part where the fans operate.
  • A velocity recovery cone is the third component of the stack. A conical divergence at the fan exit, also known as a fan diffuser, was employed to recover velocity pressure.

For an optimum fan performance, the fan stack must have dimensional stability for a perfect fan-tip clearance, proper smooth air intake and at the exhaust side a flare of 7-8 deg. The fan stacks we manufacture are of 8-degree flare diffuser type with elliptical or parabolic air inlet. Fans Stacks are taken up for manufacturing after approval of drawings by client, we use best materials unsaturated polyester and fiber CSM. The fan stack thickness, dimensional stability and weight per segment are maintained throughout the manufacturing process.
